This past week has been full of travel and full of blessings. In Hartwell, GA, we were a part of a celebration of their local Emergency Responders of that community with Riley and Debbie Shelton (HFTW missionaries to India) and Sujo John, a survivor of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center who gave his testimony and over thirty people began their walk with Jesus Christ that night.
Then it was off to Nashville to visit friends and family and be a part of Thompson Station Church South campus worship service led by my best friend, Wes Willett. What a great time we had singing together again. At the same time, Victoria and Olivia were joining with Tim Jackson, Scott Wilcoxen, and Livi’s friend, Savannah, to lead our church in Santa Rosa Beach in worship. How blessed I was to know that in mine and Kerri’s absence, these young ladies would continue on under Tim’s leadership, and our church family was so supportive.
We travelled on to Indiana where Kerri and I got the awesome blessing to spend time with Bill and Gloria Gaither in their hometown of Alexandria, IN catching up on things and sharing what God is doing in our lives both in worship ministry and with Hope for the World missions. We were greatly honored by their welcoming spirit. Kerri sat in on Gloria’s bible study in Colossians and watched as she ministered to her ladies in her hometown. It was definitely a time of encouragement to both Kerri and I.
We had a long 9-hour drive back home to get Kerri back for her ladies bible study at The Chapel, while Olivia and I headed out to a “See You at the Pole” Rally. We literally got home, carried our suitcases inside, and jumped back in the car to head out. We were exhausted, but it was so worth it to be a part of our community and outreach.
URGENT Prayer Request: We are getting close to our payment date for the Hope Center for teens in Albania. We need $43,000 to make the final payment on the property there. We are trusting God for this and we know that it will come in. Please pray about making a contribution to this great work. Allow God to use you to touch the lives of teens in Albania. 100% of kids coming through the Hope Center have chosen Christ and are learning what it means to live for Him. We have seen the great work that is taking place there and can assure you with all confidence your gift will help change the life of a deserving young person and the future of Albania. You can donate by going to HFTW.org/give. Please specifiy “Albania – Hope Center” to give to this need.
Of course, we have many needs at Hope for the World. Each Country has something specific they need financing for, as well as maintaining their monthly budget. We will be highlighting different ministries in the coming months.
